Sport Complex & Ghost Pirate Training Facility

The City of Port Wentworth is making a significant investment in its community with an estimated $30 million allocated for a new sports complex, complementing an additional $30 million dedicated to a Ghost Pirate training facility, affiliated with the Florida Panthers. This expansive sports complex, spanning over 150 acres, is set to feature a range of amenities including multi-use fields, a dog park, a gymnasium, and an amphitheater, among others.

Construction is currently underway, with the recreation facilities anticipated to open by mid-2025 and the full build out projected to be completed by early 2026. Conveniently located just a minute’s drive and less than a half-mile walk from Arbor View Townhomes, this development promises to enhance the recreational options available to residents and visitors alike.
